Wormhole Well

gravity

Dark violet “black hole” discs that yank you into orbit.

Pulls harder the closer you get (plus a sideways swirl).
Skim the rim sideways to slingshot — free speed.
Park in the glowing core and you bleed speed, then take damage.

Tip: skim for speed · don’t sit in the hole.

Ice Crystal Field

Cyan patches — low grip, sideways slip.

Friction drops; the ship keeps sliding.
You drift sideways even when pointed straight.
Turns feel a little mushy on the ice.

Tip: ease thrust early · steer before you enter · Grip Field helps.

Flux Oil Slick

Orange slicks — loose steering and thrust wander.

Yaw gets noisy; the nose wobbles.
Thrust drifts off your aim line.
Harder to hold a clean firing angle.

Tip: short taps · don’t overcorrect · Grip Field steadies turns.

Nebula Puddle

Violet mush — sticky drag that eats your speed.

Higher friction; you slow down fast.
Acceleration and top speed both drop.
Great for escaping… terrible for chasing.

Tip: boost through or cut around — don’t crawl.

Scrap Rim / Soft Walls

Arena edge scrap belt — not a hard rail.

Go wide and you slow down (soft keep-in).
Far outside nudges you back toward the pit.
No rubber-band slam — just drag and clutter.

Tip: use the rim as cover, not a runway.

Asteroids / Debris

collision

Rocks and scrap needles that block lines and drop loot.

Collisions bruise hull and dump velocity.
Shoot them for scrap and clear lanes.
Dense belts punish greedy midfield cuts.

Tip: clear a corridor before a long chase.

Rapid Fire / Copperhead Surge

High firerate bolt spam · Plasma Surge overdrive sprays even faster.

Hard counters

Shock Plate — every hit mini-stuns the attacker; firerate becomes self-stun.
Pacifism Plate — single-use Hull Debt: they cannot fire for several seconds.
Ghost Plate — single-use: three seconds of invincibility (E from SINGLE-USE tray).

Soft answers

Echo Plate thorns punish sustained volleys.
Break LOS behind rocks; don’t sit broadside in their cone.

Flak / Shotgun Spray

Cone shred at close range (Razorwing / Flux Flak).

Hard counters

Rail Sniper / Voidquill — stay outside flak range and punish.
Echo Plate — thorns melt spray traders who hug you.

Soft answers

Nebula puddles / scrap rim to force them to overcommit.
Boost juke through the cone edge, not the throat.

Nightcoil Pierce Coil — close the gap with a spear dash through their line.
Wormhole sling into face · nebula drag on their kite lane.

Strafe + rock cover; never sit still on their aim cone.
Shields eat one lance — time invuln / Phase Blink.

Tractor + Grav Snare

Lensmith mark → radial yank; marked ≤~50% pool can execute.

Hard counters

Break LOS behind debris so the mark/cone drops.
Boost out the instant you’re marked · don’t linger mid HP.

Soft answers

Hull Plate + armor stack so execute threshold is harder to reach.
Stun / EMP them before the snare window.

Echo Plate Thorns

threat

Refraction Hull — attackers take feedback on every successful hit (not a DoT).

Hard counters

Pacifism Plate — stop their guns without trading hits.
Range kite — rail / seekers; don’t melee-trade into thorns.

Soft answers

Burst windows with invuln supers, then disengage.
Let AI farm them; you poke from aft angles.

Stun Rounds

Weapon hits roll a chance to mini-stun you (locks thrust + fire).

Hard counters

Grip Field + distance — fewer hits land, less stun uptime.
Shields absorb chip so stun procs waste on buffer.

Soft answers

Don’t face-tank flak+stun stacks; angle and pulse fire.

Platewake EMP

threat

Emp Pulse disables nearby ships; Shock Plate garage levels lengthen it.

Hard counters

Stay outside the pulse radius — poke, don’t hug the bastion.
Invuln timing — Phase Blink / pierce window through the cast.

Soft answers

Force them to burn EMP early, then collapse.

Seekers

threat

Tracking missiles that punish straight-line flight.

Hard counters

Arc / Flak clear — shred packs before they curve in.
Boost juke around wells/rocks at the last second.

Soft answers

Use wormhole swirl to throw missile paths.

Hull Plate Armor Tanks

Stacked armor + HP (Orehauler / Platewake / Hull Plate picks).

Hard counters

Overcharge — raw damage multi punches through armor.
Aft rail shots — soft rear plates · execute supers (Grav Snare / Void Lance).

Soft answers

Don’t trade nose-to-nose; kite and chip.
